Dear Friends,
What a year! I hope that as you read this, you’re checking out for the holidays. But before you do, I wanted to thank you for your partnership and support this year and for so many years.
When I founded Mach 1 more than a decade ago, many of you took me under your wings, showed me the ropes, supported and encouraged me and it makes me feel amazing every time I remember those moments. Our Mach 1 team continues to be blessed with an amazing circle of friends, colleagues and clients and we are thankful for it every day.
We’re also happy to celebrate a year of remarkable achievements and growth at Mach 1. From welcoming new clients and team members to achieving record-breaking milestones, we’re grateful to reflect on a sensational year filled with success stories and exciting growth in our firm.
This year, Mach 1 delivered for our clients in extraordinary ways—securing over 6,000 media hits, reaching an audience of more than one billion and generating over $100 billion in publicity value. These impressive accomplishments are a testament to our team’s dedication and expertise, and we are energized for the year ahead. As we continue to grow, we’re focused on pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and delivering even greater impact for our clients.
2024 Awards
In recognition of our team’s impactful work for clients, Mach 1 was honored to be named a 2024 Silver Winner in Public Affairs Campaign by the Bulldog PR Awards!
We are also extremely proud of our Partner & Chief Operating Officer, Mary Love, for being recognized as one of the Top 50 Women Chief Operating Officers of 2024!
New Team Members
2024 brought exciting new opportunities for Mach 1, including several new clients, prompting us to expand our team! We are thrilled to introduce the talented individuals who have joined our team this year:
Sarah Allen – Senior Director
Meet Sarah Allen, a Mach 1 Senior Director passionate about media relations, social media and public affairs. Sarah’s varied PR background includes experience with local government, tech, apparel and entertainment. A seventh-generation Texan, Sarah enjoys classic sitcoms, playing disc golf and running races at a slow but steady pace.
Jamie McCormick – Senior Strategist
Meet Jamie McCormick, a Mach 1 Senior Strategist specializing in campaigns and issue-driven communications. With a background in legislative policy and public affairs, she loves to help untangle tough issues. Outside of work, Jamie is usually found swimming, hiking or climbing with her family and dogs. In rare moments alone, she loves to read and paint.
Carsyn Collins – Account Executive
Meet Carsyn Collins, a Mach 1 Account Executive specializing in social media marketing and policy communications. As a recent graduate from the LBJ School of Public Affairs, Carsyn is eager to make a difference by turning her academic skills into actionable results for Mach 1 clients. In her spare time, Carsyn enjoys taking dance classes and exploring Austin’s live music scene.
We couldn’t be more excited to watch Jamie, Sarah and Carsyn flourish at Mach 1. Our team looks forward to the many contributions they’ll continue to bring in the year ahead!
Livestrong’s Texas Monthly Feature
In 2024, we achieved a significant milestone in our work with Livestrong by successfully securing a Texas Monthly cover story featuring the organization. This high-profile placement not only elevated Livestrong’s visibility but also garnered widespread attention, including a TV appearance featuring CEO Suzanne Stone and other various members of the organization.
This feature celebrates Livestrong’s lasting legacy and their role in driving innovation within the nonprofit sector. We’re proud to have played a role in telling this remarkable story and look forward to helping our clients create lasting impacts for years to come!
