As a way to give back to the local community we love, the firm takes an Austin-based non-profit organization as a pro-bono client each year — providing expert communications counsel and strategy at no charge to the organization.

Our application window is open January to April each year.

The Mach 1 Group has announced its 2023 pro-bono partnership with the Austin-based non-profit Women in Neuroscience (WiN), whose mission is to build a diverse community of women leaders in neuroscience and neurology.

Katherine McLane, Founder & CEO


McLane is a proud member of the Austin Women’s Symphony League, former Chair of the Ann Richards School Foundation Board of Directors, and serves on the Austin Business Journal Leadership Trust and Capital Area Council of the BSA, formerly Boy Scouts of America. McLane was honored nationally for her philanthropic contributions at the 2023 Bulldog Awards, earning a bronze prize for “PR Professional Who Makes a Difference”.

Mary Bell Love, Partner & Chief Operating Officer


Love is the co-founder and Vice President of the American Energy Institute and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Pink Granite Foundation and Women’s Symphony League of Austin. She’s a former board member of the Austin Alliance for Women in Media and KLRU Community Advisory Board. In addition, she serves on the Austin Business Journal Leadership Trust and is an active member of Women Communicators of Austin and the Public Relations Society of America.

Talan Tyminski, Senior Vice President


Tyminski is an active member of Austin’s Young Women’s Alliance, Emerge America’s Young Leaders Cabinet, Women Communicators of Austin and the Pink Granite Foundation. In 2021, she was appointed to the City of Austin’s Minority-Owned Business, Women-Owned Business, Small Business Enterprise Procurement Program Advisory Committee.
