The Mach 1 Group Announces National Recognition and Firm Growth

New Team Updates and Industry Accolades Signal Continued Momentum Ahead of the 90th Texas Legislative Session

The Mach 1 Group (Mach 1), a Texas-based strategic communications firm, is celebrating a year of significant growth and industry recognition in 2026.

The firm and its executive leadership have earned prestigious national recognition, including being named a 2026 Top Agency by PR Daily. This recognition places Mach 1 among the country’s leading firms in public relations and strategic communications.

“This is a transformative chapter for Mach 1, and these milestones are a testament to the exceptional talent and dedication our team brings to the table every day,” said Katherine McLane, Mach 1 Founder and CEO. “To be recognized among the best in our industry while our team evolves speaks to the momentum we’ve built and our commitment to delivering high-impact results for our clients. We’re proud of how far we’ve come and even more excited about what’s ahead.”

In August, PRSA named McLane a 2026 Woman of Impact, honoring her contributions to leadership in the public relations industry.

Mach 1’s leadership has been named finalists for the Stevie Awards for Women in Business. McLane is a finalist for Best Female CEO of the Year, and Mary Love, Mach 1’s Partner and Chief Operating Officer, is a finalist in the Most Innovative Woman of the Year – Advertising, Marketing & Public Relations category.

Mach 1 has promoted Alice Claiborne to Executive Vice President and Carsyn Collins to Senior Director. As Executive Vice President, Claiborne will take on an expanded leadership presence of the firm’s public affairs and earned media departments, playing a pivotal role in guiding the next chapter of Mach 1’s growth and expansion. In her new role as Senior Director, Collins will assume a more senior leadership role in client strategy and account management while expanding her responsibilities in leading the firm’s marketing initiatives and internship program. Additionally, Mach 1 recently welcomed two new team members: Griffin Tyler, who previously served in Gov. Greg Abbott’s administration, as Director, and Kailey Saylor, a former staffer for U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, as Communications Specialist.

“Alice and Carsyn have been instrumental in shaping Mach 1’s success, consistently demonstrating the leadership, strategic vision and dedication that continue to move our firm forward,” said Love. “Their promotions reflect the tremendous impact they’ve made and the confidence we have in their continued leadership. We’re equally thrilled to welcome Griffin and and Kailey to the team and bring their expertise on board as we continue building momentum across Texas and nationwide.”
