Award-winning Austin-based crisis communications and public affairs firm adds Dylan MacInerney and promotes Talan Tyminski to leadership role
AUSTIN, TX — Award-winning crisis communications and public affairs firm The Mach 1 Group (Mach 1), announced today the addition of a new public policy expert and the promotion of a central team member. These changes reflect Mach 1’s commitment to building a seasoned public affairs team that matches the firm’s growth.

With a background in federal and state government, including advanced crisis and policy communications experience, Dylan MacInerney has joined Mach 1 as Vice President. Dylan started his career in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., where he served as legislative staff for Congressman Kevin Brady (TX-08) and Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins (KS-02). Dylan’s legislative portfolio covered Defense, Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs, Foreign Affairs and Trade & Finance, including helping organize the response to Hurricane Harvey. Dylan received his Master of Public Affairs Degree from the esteemed LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin. During his studies, Dylan also worked as Communications Manager for an elite government relations firm during the 86th session of the Texas Legislature. Before joining Mach 1, Dylan served as part of the Regulatory Affairs team for the Texas Department of Insurance’s Life and Health Division. During his time with TDI, Dylan managed the enactment of multiple rules and regulations, including creating the Texas All-Payor Claims Database and establishing statewide industry standards for Machine-Readable file submissions. Dylan is a graduate of Creighton University and currently serves as a co-chair of Braver Angels Central Texas Chapter, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering communication across the political divide.
Mach 1 is also happy to announce Talan Tyminski’s promotion to Senior Vice President. She will help oversee client services and supervise Mach 1’s growing team as part of her new role.
